story board analysis

Hey readers

Obviously from my last post you can tell that my strong point is defiantly not art as my drawings were verging on comical. So this post is to help you make sense of the images in my storyboard from the last post.

1st slide. My first slide is a close up of the band members faces all lined up next to each other; I thought that I could use this image for my double page spread. I would space one of them out across one page and then the other two on my second page. The reason for me choosing to do the pictures like this is so that i am able to give them there own little personal profile underneath their picture of themselves. For the pictures I will position them in front of a white wall or possibly a brick wall so that their is nothing behind them making it easier to layout. I may possibly give them certain props to wear such as hats, glasses or monocles. For this shot I would either have it very bright and clear if I was to use a white background or quite dull, bleak and bland lighting if I am going to use a background that is brick.

2nd slide. My second slide is a wide-angle shot of the entire band with them all playing their appropriate instruments I will take this shot in a quite a urban themed scenario. I would use it for my front cover so that you would be able to instantly tell that they are a band and that the magazines main story will be about them. The props that they will be using are their own musical instruments and possibly give them some props to dress up in such as hats. The lighting will be quite bleak to go with the urban theme that I am going to be using throughout the shoots.

3rd slide. My third slide is a wide-angle shot of one person in a action shot smashing a guitar onto the ground I would use this image in my contents this is because the image will be long and thin which will fit perfectly in next to the page numbers.  The prop that I would be using is a guitar that can be smashed onto the floor. The lighting that I would use would be dull like all the other photos this would allow me to give all my photos a house style which in turn would make my magazine look more professional.

4th slide. My fourth slide is similar to my second slide in the fact that I would use it as a front cover shot with all the band members stood around, but this one is more of a action shot than the second slide as the band members will be lifting their instruments in the air. This again would be in a urban area, I would possibly use costume props such as hats and the lighting would be dull.

5th slide. My fifth slide would again be another good shot for the front cover of the magazine this is because it displays the whole band.  This photo however is different to the fourth and second as this one does not contain any movement ad instead has them all sat around. Again I would have this in a urban scene, I don’t think this would require any props as a image and also the lighting would be dull to go with the rest of the images.

6th slide. My sixth slide is similar to the first slide as it is a close up of all three of their faces to allow for a personal profile underneath, it would be good for my double page spread. This would again be shot in a urban area with bricks behind them, I would possibly use props such as hats and the lighting would be dull.
