Questionnaire Analysis

Advantages
There are several different advantages when it comes to using a questionnaire for market research. One of the major advantages of using a questionnaire is how quick and easy it is to put one together. Another reason for the questionnaire being good way to acquire information is that the questions you put in are often closed questions meaning that the answer is always precise and makes the question easy and quick to answer, by making it easy and quick to answer I am also going to get more people to fill out my questionnaire. Also once I had the information from my questionnaire I was able to quickly copy it onto a spreadsheet, this then enabled me to produce graphs to clearly present my findings. It also allowed me to come to some conclusions concerning the making of my magazine i.e. what font to use to on my magazine and what colour pallet would most suite it.

Disadvantages
Although overall I feel that the questionnaire was helpful to my research it could be seen as having several disadvantages also. For example although a closed ended question is precise and enables the person to fill the questionnaire out quickly, it also made it harder for the person filling it out to give their own personal opinion to the question. You also have to take into account when you take the information as to whether it is accurate or whether the person filling it out was doing it quickly without reading the question making their answer in accurate or invalid.

Personally I feel that overall the questionnaire is a good thing, this is because it allows me to quickly and with ease grasp the opinion of the public/target audience. It also allowed me to come to some decisions as to what I am going to include both on the front cover and inside my magazine.
